Biodiesel is a type of biomass energy that is similar in physical properties to petrochemical diesel, but has a different chemical composition. Biodiesel is a mixture of complex organic components with extremely high oxygen content, mainly composed of high molecular weight organic compounds, including almost all types of oxygen-containing organic compounds, such as esters, ethers, aldehydes, ketones, phenols, organic acids, alcohols, etc. Composite biodiesel is synthesized using waste animal and vegetable oils, waste engine oil, and by-products from refineries as raw materials, with the addition of catalysts, through specialized equipment and special processes.
1. The processed raw materials are subjected to ester exchange reaction with methanol and catalyst in a reaction vessel
2. After the reaction is complete, evaporate excess methanol
3. After the mother liquor is allowed to settle and separate into layers, the lower layer of glycerol is released and washed with water. After settling and separating into layers, the aqueous phase is released to obtain crude methyl ester
4. Enter the membrane molecular distillation system for separation to obtain biodiesel and plant asphalt.
Molecular distillation is to achieve separation by using the difference in molecular free paths when the light and heavy component molecules in the liquid phase escape from the main body of the liquid phase. The basic conditions for molecular distillation are: the molecular free path of the light component molecules is equal to the distance between the heating surface and the condensing surface, and can correctly reach the built-in condenser for capture, while the molecular free path of the heavy component molecules is smaller than the distance between the heating surface and the condensing surface, so that they will not reach the built-in condenser, that is, the built-in condenser only captures the light component molecules and achieves the separation of light and heavy components.
Short path distiller is designed according to the principle of molecular distillation. It is a model that simulates molecular distillation. Because the distance between its heating surface and cooling surface is very close and the resistance is very small, it is called short-range distiller. Due to the effect of the built-in condenser, the vaporized vapor phase can be liquefied instantly and the volume can be shrunk, so the high vacuum inside the equipment can be maintained. The operating vacuum of the short-range distiller can reach 1Pa, which is difficult to achieve with other evaporation and distillation equipment. Therefore, the short-range distiller is suitable for materials with high boiling points at normal pressure that are difficult to separate by ordinary separation methods. As a new type of liquid-liquid separation equipment, many industries have gained successful experience. Depending on the material characteristics, there are also various scraper types to choose from, and the principle is similar to that of the scraper evaporator.
We can produce a single short-range distiller or a complete system, welcome to contact with us for details!
